Join in celebrating the first WEST MICHIGAN PRIDE PICNIC. The event will be held May 31st 2009 right after the Pride 5k. This event will be staged by the Grand Rapids Front Runners & Walkers. Lunch will be served at noon. Bring one of your famous dishes to pass for lunch. Also, don’t forget to get ready for the Picnic games which include: three-legged potato sack race, tug-o-war, egg race and euchre tournament. This is a FREE EVENT, so if it’s a lovely day and your’re feeling adventurous, feel free to join in on all the festivities leading up to PRIDE 2009.
Also, during the Picnic, enter your pet in the WEST MICHIGAN PRIDE PET SHOW. The entry fee is only $10.00 and there are plenty of awards for best dressed pet/ owner look alike. Also get a kick out of the best stupid pet tricks.
So, again we can’t stress enough to have our community come together and make WEST MICHIGAN PRIDE 2009 a celebration not only on JUNE 20th, but a sense of pride within ourselves and community throughout the year.
